How It Works
Want to be a Lord, Lady, or even a Knight? Here’s how it works: pick your title, choose your rank, and make it official with Canadian Titles.
Step 1
Choose Your Product
Start by selecting the title that fits you best:
☑Lord Title – for an individual Lordship.
☑Lady Title – for an individual Ladyship
☑ Couples Pack – to share a Lord and Ladyship of the same rank and location.
☑Knighthood Title – to become a Sir, Dame, or Ser, by joining the official knighthood order of a Canadian province or territory.
Step 2
Choose Your Rank
If you’ve chosen a Lord title, Lady title, or Couples Pack, you’ll also select your rank. There are five levels of nobility, each available once per location:
- Baron & Baroness
- Viscount & Viscountess
- Count & Countess
- Marquis & Marquise
- Duke & Duchess
For example, if your name is John Smith and you select “Duke of Vancouver,” your full title would be Lord John Smith, Duke of Vancouver. Another person may still hold the Baron, Viscount, Count, or Marquis of Vancouver — but no one else will ever be Duke of Vancouver.
Step 3
Choose Your Location
Next, you’ll pick the place tied to your title:
☑A Canadian Municipality – a city, town, village, district, hamlet, parish, etc.
☑ A Neighbourhood within a Major City. Cities with populations over 100,000 have been divided into neighbourhoods, and you may become the Lord or Lady of an individual neighbourhood.
This ensures every title is distinct. For example:
- Lady Jillian Brown, Countess of Toronto
- Lord Jeff Palmer, Baron of Acadia, Calgary, Alberta
No duplicates. Ever.
Step 4
Receive your Title
In the mail, you'll receive:
☑ Your Official Lord or Lady Title certificate.
☑ A Patent of Nobility from the Canadian Titles Peerage Registry
☑ A Master Deed Title To Legally Change or Bequeath Your Title
☑ A Tree planting certificate for the donation made on your behalf to Tree Canada
☑ Two “That’s M’Lady/M’Lord” stickers
Step 5
Keep it or Bequeath it
After purchasing your Lord, Ladyship, or Knighthood, you will be officially recorded in the Canadian Titles Register of Peerages. Your Lord or Lady title will never be duplicated or sold again. It is yours for life.
You also have the option to bequeath your title, meaning you can pass it down to a family member or friend. Your package will include the information needed to bequeath your title, making it an heirloom that lasts forever.

What are the benefits of lord and lady titles?
Lord and lady titles provide a distinctive way to celebrate individuality, create memorable gifts, and enjoy a sense of prestige. They make excellent conversation starters, can add a touch of elegance to personal correspondence or events, and, when registered, are part of a limited collection that highlights exclusivity. In addition, every purchase helps preserve Canada’s natural landscapes, so your title also contributes to a meaningful cause.
Is buying a lordship title real?
Purchasing a lordship or ladyship title is considered a novelty item rather than a grant of legal nobility. While it does not provide any official rights or recognition, you will receive an official certificate and placement in our registry. The registry also limits the number of titles available, which ensures each title remains part of a limited collection.
